Wenqi (Vince) Liu was born and grew up in Shandong Province, China. He received his BS in Chemistry from Shandong University in 2013. As an undergraduate student, he spent three years working with Prof. Aiyou Hao on supramolecular gels based on cyclodextrin self-assembly. Yang was born and grew up in Jilin, China. He received his B. E. degree in Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University in 2013. Afterwards, he moved to the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University, where he commenced his education in, and exploration of, the world of supramolecular chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Xi Zhang.

Qinghui was born and grew up in Henan Province, in central China. In July 2010, he graduated from Lanzhou University and obtained his M.Sc. in chemistry.
