Stoddart Group postdoctoral fellow Penghao Li presented a talk at the 18th International Symposium on Novel Aromatic Compounds (ISNA18) held in Sapporo City, Japan on July 21 – 26, 2019. Penghao’s Contributing Lecture, titled Mechanical Interlocking in Triptycene-Based Hydrogen-Bonded Organic Frameworks, was presented to a multidisciplinary international scientific audience. The conference has a long history dating back to 1970 when it was established by Professor Tetsuo Nozoe, who discovered the nonbenzenoid aromatic compound hinokitiol in Taipei. The ISNA provides an interactive platform for researchers worldwide to present new findings and exchange innovative ideas on advanced synthesis, structure-property relationships, and applications of novel aromatic compounds for different purposes.
