Yongsi Zhu was born and grew up in Xichang, Sichuan, China. She is expected to graduate from Nankai University with a BS degree in Applied Chemistry in June 2022. While attending class, she joined Professor Yijing Wang’s Research Group working on the MgH2-LiBH4 hydrogen storage system promoted by Nb-based compounds. Yongsi joined the Stoddart Group
