Yu grew up in Hebei Province, P. R. China. In 2014, she received her BS degree in the department of chemistry at Tianjin University. At the same place, she obtained her PhD degree under the guidance of Professor Wenping Hu. Her PhD research was focused on synthesis and application of organic optoelectronic cocrystals. In August 2019, she joined Sir Fraser Stoddart’s group in Northwestern University as a postdoctoral fellow. Her current research focuses on self-assembly of supramolecular crystal materials and exploration of their functional applications.
