Tan, Yu
Yu was born in Guandong province, China. He completed his Bs degree in chemistry at Fudan University in 2011 and obtained his PhD there in organic chemistry in 2016 under the guidance of Professor Xing-Wen Sun and Professor Guo-Qiang Lin, focusing on asymmetric synthesis methodology. Yu worked on viscoelastic hydrogels for biomedical applications in University of Massachusetts Medical School from June, 2016 to March, 2019 in Professor Jie Song’s group. In March 2019, he moved to Northwestern University to join Professor Sir Fraser Stoddart’s group. His ongoing research focuses on developing supramolecular materials for as asymmetric synthesis and biomedical application.
