Tim was born in Wuhan, China. He is an undergraduate student majoring in Chemistry at Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern University and is expected to finish his degree in 2026. Tim researched zirconium-based metal-organic frameworks between September 2020 and August 2022 with Professor Zirong Tang at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Tim joined the Stoddart Group as an undergraduate research intern in October 2022, and his current research focuses on the synthesis, crystallographic structures, and functions of metal-organic frameworks. Tim is an avid figure skater and soccer player in his free time, and he loves to do the “Rainbow” kicks in soccer.
