Guo, Qinghui
Zhejiang University
Qinghui was born and grew up in Henan Province, in central China. In July 2010, he graduated from Lanzhou University and obtained his M.Sc. in chemistry. He then moved to Tsinghua University to earn his PhD degree under the guidance of Professor Mei-Xiang Wang. During his PhD, Qinghui’s research focused on organic chemistry and supramolecular chemistry, where he designed and synthesized a novel and functional macrocyclic host, which was named as “Corona[n]arene”.He subsequently took up a postdoctoral position with Professor De-Xian Wang in Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. In February 2017, he joined the Stoddart group in Northwestern University as a postdoctoral fellow, working on design and synthesis of supramolecular self-assembled porous materials as well as functional macrocycles for molecular recognition and molecular machines.
