Partha was born and raised in Guwahati, the city of north-eastern gateway in India. He earned his B.S. degree in chemistry with distinction from B. Borooah College, graduating Cum Laude in 2012. In 2014, he earned his M.Sc Cum Laude in organic chemistry under the tutelage of Prof. Pranab Jyoti Das (Gauhati University in India) before joining the group of Dr. Flavio Grynszpan and Prof. Michael Firer at Ariel University, Israel in 2015 to earn his PhD. His research during his PhD mostly focused on modification of syn-bimane fluorophore and to explore its coordination chemistry with metals. In June 2019, he moved to Prof. Sir Fraser Stoddart’s group at Northwestern University as a postdoctoral fellow to explore new insights into mechanically interlocked molecules. Partha is an avid cook and he loves to cook his signature dishes in his free time.
