James Cooper left his position as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Stoddart group at the end of September 2020 to commence his independent academic career as a Lecturer in Organic Chemistry at the University of Reading in the United Kingdom.
During his time in the Stoddart group, James worked on new host-guest systems, mechanically interlocked molecules, and the development of molecular machines. He also conducted research with the Philp group, focusing on systems chemistry and the study of synthetic replicators based on small organic molecules. Congratulations on commencing your independent academic career, James!
