On Thursday October 31, 2019 Fraser Stoddart presented a lecture on The Growing Impact of the Mechanical Bond on Polymer and Material Sciences at Yale University in the Barnett F Dodge Distinguished Lectureship Series. The Dodge Distinguished Lecture is hosted by the Yale School of Engineering & Applied Science / Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering and sponsored by the Goizueta Foundation. The lecture series is named in honor of Barnett F Dodge, who first worked as a chemical engineer at DuPont and joined the Yale faculty in 1925 as an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering, eventually rising to the rank of Chairman of the Yale Chemistry Department which he held for 30 years.
