Wichita State University Welcomes Fraser for Watkins Visiting Professorship

The 2019 ACS Midwest Regional Meeting was held in Wichita Kansas on October 16-19 where Fraser Stoddart was the invited plenary speaker for the Watkins Visiting Professorship lecture. The Watkins Visiting Professorship was created in 1974 by a grant from the Watkins Foundation, which was established by the Watkins family, prominent in Wichita’s local history through their running of several successful financial and industrial businesses. Over the past 45 years, many notable speakers from the areas of biological sciences, chemistry, geology, and physics have presented at this prestigious event. Fraser is honored to have joined the likes of Melvin Calvin who presented in 1980 and William Lipscomb who presented in 1995.
