During his visit to the Wuhan University of Technology for the World University Forum on Materials Science & Engineering Leadership, Fraser Stoddart received an Honorary Professorship at the prestigious national university. The Wuhan University of Technology was merged on May 27, 2000, from three universities: Wuhan University of Technology (established in 1948), Wuhan Transportation University (established in 1946) and Wuhan Automotive Polytechnic University (established in 1958). WUT is one of the leading Chinese universities accredited by the Ministry of Education and one of the universities constructed in priority for Chinese higher education institutions. Fraser is honored to receive the professorship and looks forward to a fruitful and productive relationship with Wuhan University moving forward.
