Fraser Stoddart was invited to present a Plenary Lecture at the 70th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry in Durban, South Africa on August 4–9, 2019. Fraser’s talk titled Radical Chemistry accompanied his Master Class titled Chemistry on the Hoof, both of which were presented to an engaged audience from multiple disciplines in the field of Electrochemistry. The scope of the conference touches on many exciting areas of Electrochemistry including Analytical Electrochemistry, Sensors and Biosensors, Electrochemistry in Biology and Medicine, Batteries, Supercapacitors, Electrochemistry of Nanomaterials, and many more. Fraser’s time outside the conference was highlighted with breakfast with ISE President ZQ Tian and his wife Bing-Wei Mao (pictured below).
