As Plenary Speaker at the Frontiers in Polymer Science 2019 conference, Fraser Stoddart presented The Growing Impact of the Mechanical Bond on Polymer and Materials Sciences to an international audience in Budapest, Hungary. The conference is the sixth since its inception in 2009 and hosted by its fifth different country, making Frontiers in Polymer Science a global event. Fraser’s Plenary Lecture described in visually engrossing terms the rise and importance of the Mechanical Bond relating to polymer and materials sciences, and highlighted current and former students moving the Mechanical Bond forward through their radical research.
