Top Early Career Award to Will Dichtel - The National Fresenius Award, which is presented annually to an outstanding young scientist who has attained national recognition, goes this year to Will Dichtel, a former Postdoctoral Research Assistant (2005–2008) during the group's UCLA days, now an Assistant Professor at Cornell University. In a feature article in C&EN (January 27, 2014 Issue), Cheryl Hogue comments that Dichtel's research breakthroughs are reverberating through organic chemistry and materials science. As the list of names of past recipients testifies, the award, since its inception in 1965, has taken its place among the pre–eminent awards in Chemistry in the United States. Congratulations Will on adding your name to a roster of stars!
