I was born in Chifeng city of Inner Mongolia, P. R. China in 1978. I entered the Chemistry Department of Nankai University in September 1996 and obtained my B.Sc. degree in July 2000. Then I enrolled as a postgraduate in the same department and studied under Prof. Yu Liu's guidance. In September 2002, I was recommended to join the Ph.D. program in the Chemistry Department and got my Ph.D. degree in June 2005. I joined the Prof. Stoddart's group at UCLA as a postdoctoral scholar in October 2005. Currently, my research is mainly on Organic Chemistry and Nanoelectronics, with the design, construction, and application of artificial molecular machines at the nanoscale level. I am dedicated to my work and always enjoy doing my research. Besides working in the laboratory, I have a lot of hobbies such as reading novels, seeing films, listening to music, traveling and so on. The inspiration I get from these hobbies in my spare time greatly benefits my work, and makes me more keen and imaginative. Above all, I love my family very much. The time spent with my family is always the most precious time in my life.
