Message:

I was born and raised in the country setting, rural Indiana, in a small town called Lebanon, about thirty minutes drive from Indianapolis. I attended Brebeuf Jesuit College Preparatory School at the State Capital. Matriculation into Indiana University of Bloomington resulted in me receiving an Honors Bachelors degree in Chemistry having completed two years of undergraduate research with Professor Amar H. Flood studying organic synthesis. I came to Northwestern University to study as a PhD candidate in Organic Chemistry with Professor Fraser Stoddart. The joy associated with creating and learning is what keeps me coming into lab every morning, seven days a week, and enjoying the company of my colleagues is what keeps me there late into the evening.
